Universal Ceremony

Sand Harbor Ceremony

I thought I'd do it alone until you came along.
Then deep within my heart
I heard a beautiful song
Of partnership, companionship,
A mirror for me to see
The greatness and the worthiness
That resides inside of me.
And though I know my ego may get in the way,
I want to walk the path with you
Being loving every day

Romantic Kiss as Sand Harbor

Friends, welcome to the joining in spirit of ________ and ________.

They have asked me to thank you all for coming and for your love and support of them as they embark on this new journey together.

(Optional: "Are you willing to support them in good times and bad: encouraging them to remember this day?" Audience says, "we will.")

Today is the day you have chosen to make your commitment to one another. To join hands and walk life's path stepping forward in the same direction.

The circle of your love is claimed today. It is whole and unbroken. It is yours for a lifetime if you are willing to hold it sacred and celebrate its magic. You are its keeper.

When we establish a partnership of the heart, we hold the other and ourselves in equal esteem. We speak our truth. We clear the air. We find humor in the difficult and gratitude for our successes.

Today you are offering to and receiving from each other your greatest gifts: your love, your support and your caring for a lifetime. May you both cherish and hold in high esteem that which is exchanged today.

Let us pray: Lord we thank you for this couple and all that has lead them to this day. May they be prepared for this commitment with clear minds and full hearts. May the agreements made today be ever present in their relationship from this day forward. I give thanks that it is already done and so it is. Amen.

Knowing that your hearts and minds are open to the seriousness and glory of this agreement you may face each other and hold hands.

(These vows may be spoken together or separately:) From this day on I commit myself to our life together, Honoring your mind, your body and your spirit as well as my own. I will be your loving reflective and faithful partner from this day onward.

May I have the rings? These rings are made of precious metal and may they symbolize the precious of the love you are feeling in your hearts right now. They are also complete circles with no beginning and no end and may this represent your love having no beginning or no end. May it spiral out to all those whom you love and love you. May that energy be returned ten fold.

Ring exchange; I give you this symbol of my pledge for a faithful love and remembrance of these vows.

No longer shall we be alone
Together we establish our home.
With care and commitment offering our gifts
Lightening our load our hearts uplift
And through the years until the end
Holding each other as best of friends.

May the blending of your hearts, minds and spirits bring Health prosperity and joy to everyday of your adventure together. May your words be gentle. May your thoughts be clear of blame and may your actions be based in love, I give thanks that it is done. Amen.

Declaration of commitment
Kiss
